Learning Outcome 1
Be able to interpret building information
1.1
Use basic working drawings to interpret building information, including scales
1:1, 1:5, 1:10, 1:20 and 1:100.
1.2
Use basic generic types of Programmes of Work and Work Schedules that are in general use
1.3
Prepare basic outline drawings to scale
1.4
Use a scale ruler for transferring simple measurements
Learning Outcome 2
Be able to determine quantities of materials
2.1
Select appropriate resources to work out calculations, including: Diagrams, Plans, Calculator, Conversion Tables, Working drawings, Scale rule, Ruler and Long-hand

Calculate the area of basic shapes, including:
Squares, Rectangles, Triangles and Circles

Use Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication and Division to estimate material quantities
